Privacy Policy for Morn
The short version
Morn has no account, no ads and no tracking. We do not sell data. What you save in Morn stays on your phone.
Who is responsible
Sagafon AS, org. no. 923 738 541, Drøbakgata 1, 0463 Oslo, Norway. Questions about privacy: privacy@mornbible.com.
What stays on your phone
Your saved verses, where you are in the Bible, your streak, your translation, scene and sound choices, and your reminder and alarm times. They are stored only on your device. If you use iCloud or device backups, Apple includes them in your backup under your own settings. Deleting the app deletes them.
Anonymous usage statistics
To learn which parts of Morn help people, the app sends simple events, such as that a prayer was finished or a screen was opened. They carry a random id that is not linked to your name, email or Apple ID. We do not store your IP address and do not combine this with data from other apps or websites. The events are processed in the EU and deleted after at most 12 months. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving the app (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). You can object at any time by writing to us.
Purchases
Morn Plus is bought through Apple. We receive whether you have Plus and an anonymous purchase id, so the app can unlock it on your devices. We never see your name, card or payment details. The legal basis is the contract with you (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
Reminders and the alarm
Morning reminders and Wake with the Word are scheduled on your phone. Nothing about them is sent to us. iOS asks for your permission first, and you can turn it off in Settings.
When you write to us
If you email us, we use your address and message only to answer you, and delete them when they are no longer needed for that.
Children
Morn is for all ages and asks for no personal information. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Your rights
You can ask for access to, correction of or deletion of personal data, object to processing and ask for data portability. Write to privacy@mornbible.com. You can also complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet) or the authority where you live.
Changes
If this policy changes, we update this page and the date below.
